Weekend at Grandma's

We went up to visit Grandma, see a parade, and swim in her pool.  Claire had a fun time.

Butterflies

Claire and Jeff like to get caterpillars and watch them turn into butterflies.  This is the second year we did it and Claire enjoyed it more this year than last.

Bein' Four

Me: Claire, did you have a special birthday weekend? Claire: Yep. Me: What was your favorite part? Claire: Bein' four. That about sums it up. She is really impressed about being four. "Now that I'm four, I don't need to wear sunblock.". "Now that I'm four, I'm one of the big kids. I'm not a baby anymore."

Today is Claire's 4th birthday.  We had a party yesterday with alot of her cousins and friends.  Today we went to the zoo and played in her new "Flower Power" sprinkler.  We all had a great weekend (as evidenced by the fact that as I write this, she's passed out on the couch).  Can't believe she's four - I have no idea where this time is going.

Ballet Recital

 

 

 

Claire had her ballet recital this past weekend.  She loved dressing up and performing her "Teddy Bear Ballet".  The highlight of the show for us was when she kept waving to us and searching the audience for more of her adoring fans.

We had a busy Easter filled with egg hunts and family.  Claire had a blast and for once the weather cooperated a little bit.  At least we didn't have to wear winter coats over Easter dresses.

Last (Gasp) Day of School 2012

Claire's last day of school was this week.  She had a great year - and made alot of progress from September when she cried when we left her to now.  According to her end of year report card, "Claire is an efficient worker... and a joy to have in class."  Here's hoping "efficient worker" doesn't mean "races through her school work".
