Peeking Out

Here's a couple of pictures of Claire peeking at us from a few places at the Children's Museum today.

We went to the Children's Museum this morning and Claire had a very good time - and yes, she is sporting some stylish eyewear today again. It was her kind of place - lots of kids, lots of noise, and water. There is even a pint-size, caged in balcony that runs above the floor of the museum. Once she got in there, I was afraid I was going to have to climb in like a snake to get her out.

The Future's So Bright, You Gotta Wear Shades

Last summer, we couldn't get Claire to leave a hat on her head or sunglasses on her face. I have a feeling that we might have different luck this summer.

Big news!

So... the big news in our house is that Claire seems to grasp the idea of what she's supposed to do on the potty. Of course, she typically says "potty" right after she's gone. But, a couple of times, we've put her on the toilet and she's actually done something. Baby steps.

She has her potty chair now... that she prefers to drag in front of the TV to sit in. There's something wrong with this picture.

Hopefully, we're on the way to achieving my aggressive goal of no diapers by her birthday... well see.

Eggbert... and a haircut

I gave Claire her first haircut on Saturday (I just couldn't stand looking at the "bangs" hanging in her face any longer!). I thought I'd take a picture to show off her new look. What I didn't realize is that if I didn't immediately take a picture, she'd end up sporting a brand new egg on her forehead as well as her new do.

In case you're wondering, she got this egg after falling off a chair while I was standing next to her... she just moves so fast!
