Charlotte & Claire

We had some friends visit last weekend. They have a little girl only about 10 weeks older than Claire. I think everyone thought it would be fun to see them play together... Well... they don't really play together. Claire tried to give Charlotte a hug, Charlotte ran away. They did swing next to each other, but that doesn't make for great photographs. We had fun, nonetheless, and maybe the next time we see them, the girls will be interested in playing together.

 

 

 

 

Pumpkin Pickin'

 

 

 

 

We went to a pumpkin patch today and Claire picked out a few pumpkins for us to carve. She wasn't into smiling, but had fun at the pumpkin farm nonetheless.

Mommy & Me

Today, Claire and I were able to spend the day together. We had alot of fun - we went for a walk and came across the pumpkins on our front porch. We went to the park. We did not take a nap in the afternoon, but it was an excellent day, nonetheless.

This being the first weekend of college football, we couldn't help but show off Claire's football wear. Today, while I was at the NU game, Jeff tried the cheesehead on Claire. Then, when I got home from the game, I took some pictures in the new sweatshirt I got Claire at the game. Personally, I think she looks a lot better in purple than in a yellow foam hat, but who am I to judge?

Trip to the Fair

 

On Claire's first trip to the Adams County Fair, she rode on the Merry-Go-Round with Jeff. She wasn't so sure at first, but then she got the hang of it.

Busy Summer!

 

 

 

We've had a busy summer, so far. I can't believe that it is August! Last weekend, Claire went to the zoo and Cantigny with her cousins, Hannah and Giselle. Everyone had a fun time.

Walking... a little

Although it's still not her primary mode of transport, Claire does take some steps all on her own. I just so happened to catch one of these steps in action. She's very proud of herself once she takes said steps - she's her own best cheerleader.
