Playing in the Leaves
We had a beautiful fall. The leaves were so pretty and the weather was fairly mild. Claire loved playing in the leaves while they lasted. They're mostly gone now. Bring on Christmas!
Thanksgiving Weekend
We had a busy weekend of activities for Thanksgiving. We started with a football game that had almost more dogs than people and ended by decorating our tree with a visit to Santa in Wisconsin in the middle.

Some Halloween Activities
A Halloween parade at school, followed by carving pumpkins, followed by ballet in costume...lots of fun leading up to Halloween.
Reunion Weekend
A couple of weeks ago I attended my 20th college reunion. Since it was in Chicago, Claire got to come along for brunch on Sunday with my college roommates. We took a walk in Lincoln Park and saw ducks, turtles, and a "Tick Tock Croc", according to Claire. Not so sure I saw the crocodile, but it could happen!
Look what Claire (and Jeff) Made!
Claire and Jeff took a pottery class this fall and I wanted to share the fruits of their labor - a pumpkin with earmuffs and a turkey, aptly named, "Ham".

Pumpkin Patch
On a beautiful 80 degree day, we took a trip to pick out pumpkins, apples, and a few other fun surprises. We had a great day.
School Pictures
Here's what Claire wore for school pictures. We don't have the pictures from school yet, but I snapped a couple before she left.

Passe... Arabesque
Claire's taking a ballet class. These were from parent observation day... she really seems to enjoy it. Please ignore the bruises up and down her legs - she's an active (albeit sometimes clumsy) little girl.
Only a month ago...
I was looking through some old pictures and found this one... from a hot summer day just a month ago. Can't believe how quickly this year is going.

First Day of School
Claire's first day of pre-school was on Tuesday. Aside from vetoing my outfit choice for her (she wore what she wanted), everything went great. No tears when I left, just a hug. She came home from school full of stories of raccoon kisses, songs, and a mean boy. We're not too worried about the mean boy, she was super excited to go back to school today.
