One day a couple of weeks ago, Claire was demonstrating an extraordinary amount of patience. She sat on my lap and kept asking me to put more pony tail holders in her hair. She has more hair than she used to, that's for sure, but not enough to support 9 pony tails - so I had to improvise.

Me: "Claire, we're going to walk to get ice cream."
Claire: "Ice cream?"
Me: "Yes, what kind would you like?"
Claire: "Pink."
Me: "Pink?"
Claire: "Yes, pink."

Well... pink ice cream was had.
